Baked Scallops in Garlic Butter
1/4 cup butter Melt butter in skillet with garlic and mushrooms over low heat and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes; do not brown. In casserole or individual dishes spread a thin coat of the garlic butter. Spoon out mushrooms into dishes, top with scallops. Spoon rest of garlic butter over. Sprinkle sherry on top. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 400 degrees F. NOTES: Exact amount of ingredients isn't too important. From Jewel Lake Seafood Market Cookbook (Chicago) which said to use 1/2 cup butter (!) and sprinkle paprika on top. |
