2 cups seasoned croutons
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Cheddar, Swiss,
or Monterey jack cheese
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups light cream or milk
In an 8 x 1 1/2-inch round baking dish, arrange croutons in an even layer. Sprinkle cheese over croutons. In a medium mixing bowl, beat eggs. Stir in cream or milk. Pour egg mixture over croutons. Cover and chill for 3 to 24 hours.
Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving
Makes 4 servings.
