1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
12 slices white bread
Blend onion soup and butter or margarine together to make onion butter.
Trim crusts from bread; spread onion butter on bread slices. Cut each into 5 strips. Place them on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes or until golden at 375 degrees F.
Makes about 5 dozen sticks.
NOTE: Remainder of onion butter may be used on baked potatoes or over vegetables.
